Mypadu beach or the Mypad beach is a popular tourist destination. It is a long pristine beach with golden sands, and a continuous strectch greenery.
Located on the west coast of Bay of Bengal, the Mypadu beach lies at a distance of 25 km from the city of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. With a coastline of 970 km, Andhra Pradesh has some beautiful and exotic beaches, one of them being the Mypadu beach. This picturesque beach is great place for a relaxing weekend. The coastline is lined with lush green coconut trees and casuarinas and the water has a greenish hue to it, which makes the view all the more refreshing.
In Mypadu beach there is a famous sivalayam temple located in mypadu village at beach side. The name of the temple is sri prasanna visweswara swamy temple. In this temple there are 12 jyotirlinga's and Sri Annapurna Devi.
Tourism in Mypadu Beach
The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has taken certain measures to promote the Mypadu Beach as a popular tourist destination bt setting up recreational activities such as water sports and saltwater fishes available here, starting from crab to shrimps and prawns, which fetches a great amount in the fish market of the city. The fishing zone is at a distance of 2 km away from the shore. The crystal clear water make it wonderful for swimming. Visitors can take a dip in the cool sea and feel rejuvenated.
